Dr. Eliza (Emel) Kaplan is a clinical cardiologist and senior researcher at University Hospital Basel (USB) and the Cardiovascular Research Institute Basel (CRIB). She completed her training in cardiology with a subspecialty in interventional cardiology in the Netherlands. Dr. Kaplan earned her PhD at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School, where she conducted basic science research on cardiovascular stem cells.
