Peter Schardt has been the Chief Technology Officer of Siemens Healthineers since October 1, 2018. He was previously involved in the development and production of pioneering technologies in imaging and laboratory diagnostics. Among other roles, he was Head of the Mechatronics Competence Center in Kemnath, Program Manager of the Atellica product family, and Head of the X-ray Technology product division. Before Schardt started at Siemens Healthineers in 1995, he received his doctorate in physics from the University of Darmstadt.
