Rita Sá Machado is the current the Portuguese Director-General of Health. Prior to that, she served as a Health and Migration advisor at the World Health Organization (WHO). She is also a former Migration and Humanitarian Affairs Advisor at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Rita Sá Machado has a master’s degree in medicine from the Nova Medical School and has a master’s degree in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She also holds a degree in Travel Medicine and Mobile Populations from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto, and a postgraduate degree in Healt
